This activity should be conducted in small groups of about five students with one volunteer leader. The leader chooses the title of the story, e.g., “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” The leader starts off the story with one sentence and then goes around the group with each student providing another sentence to continue the story line. The caveat is that words containing the letter “N” cannot be included.
The volunteer leader can write the sentence down on a large sheet of paper for everyone to see, which can help with the impact of the exercise.
This activity mimics a child who has problems choosing words and completing their thoughts.
